Prixz COO and Co-Founder Raúl Villegas.

From the very beginning, Prixz has stood apart in Mexico’s healthcare landscape. While traditional pharmacies moved cautiously, Manuel Manzul, Raúl Villegas, and Sergio “Checo” Pérez chose a different path—betting on digital, on patients, and on bold experimentation. That contrarian instinct has made Prixz the country’s largest digital pharmacy and one of its most ambitious health platforms.

The founders are clear about what drives them: solving problems for patients. That focus has guided Prixz through every decision, from building CRUMs—its own last-mile delivery centers—to pioneering the sale of medicines on marketplaces when no one thought it possible. At the heart of it all is a simple commitment: putting the patient first.

Growth with Vision

In 2025, Prixz raised more than $20 million, a milestone that unlocks new possibilities. The capital allows the company not only to reach more patients, but also to invest in the structure and technology needed to scale sustainably. Dynamic pricing, improved logistics, and strategic partnerships with laboratories and distributors all form part of the plan. For patients, that means faster deliveries, broader availability, and better prices—whether in Mexico City or in the Lacandon Jungle of Chiapas.

“What’s more urgent than health? We’re solving one of the most fundamental human needs.” —Manuel Manzur

Today, Prixz operates directly in Mexico City and other major cities through its CRUM network, offering both express delivery within hours and next-day service. Beyond these hubs, nationwide logistics partnerships extend Prixz’s reach to patients in more remote areas. The mission is clear: democratize access to health across Mexico, ensuring that geography no longer dictates the quality of care.

Culture in Transition

The past year has brought challenges: uncertainty, tough decisions, and moments of tension. For Checo, those were opportunities to reinforce Prixz’s culture of honesty. “We have uncomfortable conversations. Confrontation here isn’t negative—it’s a form of freedom,” he explains. That openness has helped the team navigate hard times and emerge more resilient.

Yet culture itself is evolving. The speed, intensity, and experimentation that defined Prixz’s early days remain sacred. But scaling to reach billions in sales requires balance—bringing in more structure and process without losing agility. The founders see this as one of their greatest leadership tests: keeping what makes Prixz special, while building the culture that will sustain its next stage of growth.

Looking Ahead

Over the next two years, the opportunity lies in scale. What Prixz already offers in Mexico City and other large cities can expand to dozens more across the country. New technology, including AI-driven diagnostics, will deepen the company’s role in chronic care, especially for millions of diabetic patients underserved by the current system.

Five years from now, the founders imagine a reality where “ordering a Prixz” is as natural as ordering food delivery today. Patients will no longer remember a time when accessing medicine meant long waits or long drives.

For Raúl, Checo, and Manuel, the motivation is clear: the chance to transform access to healthcare in Mexico and beyond. It is both a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and a profound responsibility—one they are determined to seize.
