Travel & Transportation Details

To ensure a smooth arrival, we are coordinating transportation from Salt Lake City to Moab:

Shuttles from Salt Lake City Airport to Moab:

  • 2:30 PM departure
  • 5:00 PM departure

Please plan to arrive at Salt Lake City before 2:00 PM if taking the first shuttle or before 4:30 PM for the later one. The drive to Moab takes approximately 4 hours, so factor that into your travel plans.

Return Transportation from Moab to Salt Lake City Airport:
Shuttles will depart from the hotel at:

  • 6:00 AM
  • 9:00 AM
  • 1:00 PM

Where We’re Staying

Packing List

  • Backpack: ~15L or larger, lightweight and comfortable
  • Water: hydration bladder or water bottles; 2L recommended
  • Clothing: Bring an array of options ranging from shorts and t-shirts as well as numerous layers (tops/bottoms), a thin insulative top, and a rain shell/poncho
  • Gloves: light gloves
  • Hiking Boots / Trail Shoes: Supportive and broken-in
  • Hat & Sunglasses: For sun protection. Also a lightly insulating hat/beanie should it be unusually cold
  • Sunscreen & Lip Balm
  • Flashlight/Headlamp: If you have one bring it, The E28 team will also have some available
  • Trekking Poles (optional): Great for stability, especially on uneven terrain
  • Bug Spray: The E28 team will have some available
  • Snacks/Food: will be provided by the E28 team

Weather in Moab

In early May, Moab typically experiences warm days and cool nights. Expect:

  • ☀️ Daytime temperatures: 75–85°F (24–29°C)
  • 🌙 Nighttime temperatures: 45–55°F (7–13°C)

Be prepared for sunny and dry conditions, but temperatures can drop in the evenings.
